what if the burnout you're feeling in business was actually because the advice you've been following isn't a good fit for how your brain works?🧠

Creative Differences Header for Web (2).png

Before you start blaming yourself for any burnout and frustration, we want to tell you that it’s not you that has to change—it’s the strategies.

We’re made to believe that there’s a “right” and “wrong” way to do business… but what if the “right” ways aren’t actually right for you?

Things like batching content, traditional launch models, scaling your business in a short period of time, and going all-in on every social media platform may have worked for lots of business-owners, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re a good fit for everybody—especially for folks who identify as neurodivergent or spoonie, have a chronic illness, have a mental illness, have lower capacities, or like to work slower.

This is what we like to call

low-energy entrepreneurship.

Creative Differences Header for Web (2).png

If you ever feel like there are just not enough hours in the day, we see you.

If you ever feel like your body lets you or your business down, we see you.

If you ever feel like your mental health can’t come first, we see you.

If you ever feel like you wish this didn’t have to be so hard, we see you.

If you ever feel like you are alone in the entrepreneurial world, we see you.

If you ever feel like you just aren’t made for this, we see you.

Building a business truly was not designed for people who are anything but a straight, cis, white, able-bodied, mentally stable, neurotypical, male.

You feel like you try EVERYTHING, you try so hard, and yet you still aren’t seeing the progress you want in your business. Or maybe you want to get started on your business, doing something - anything - but taking that first step feels so incredibly draining, exhausting, and impossible.

This isn’t your fault. The methods you have been given haven’t been built for you and the way your brain works.

Traditional business planning isn’t set up to help low-energy entrepreneurs thrive.

Which is why you might be experiencing a seemingly never-ending cycle of…

  • Comparison

  • Perfectionism

  • Shame spiraling

  • Exhaustion and Overwhelm

Sustainability and wellness are not often prioritized from the beginning stages of building a business because that isn’t what is most profitable in our current systems. And traditional business development programs are focused on scaling without often disclosing the amount of time, money, resources, and privilege that goes into their process.

That same speed in scaling isn’t available to everyone. Traditional business leaders and programs often make it feel like it must be your fault for not seeing that same success in the same time frame as them.

We are here to interrupt that narrative and show you that it isn’t your fault, and there is a new way of building a business.

"I've been wary of joining group programs but decided to join Creative Differences because of the amazing humans who created it. I'm so happy I did! If you're looking for a community that offers gentle guidance and insight, CD is a great place to find that. I gained so much throughout this program and highly recommend it to those looking for a supportive space!"

-Lauren

business feels hard.

What if instead of…

  • Burning out from trying endless high-energy business plans and content calendars

  • Constantly comparing your struggles to the highlight reels of girl bosses online

  • Blaming yourself or your mindset for the stuck, crappy feelings that come up while building your business

You could feel...

  • Rested, playful, seen, and validated by the set up of your business

  • Anchored in your values and how your brain works for making decisions and planning in your business

  • The creative being hidden inside of you coming alive and being free in and out of your business

NOW YOU CAN WITH...

Creative Differences

A 5-month group program for low-energy humans who want to build and sustain a business that supports your mental health, how you naturally work, and celebrates your one-of-a-kind creative brain.

Creative Differences started off as a container to talk about the nuances of creativity and entrepreneurship. It was a space to talk about all of the things that are traditionally “left out” when it comes to business development.

We (Kendall + Meg) were both feeling burned by business, the business development world, and group programs as a whole. Creative Differences started off as a “not” program. An anti-program. Something that allowed us space to just be in business, because we had never seen a program (other than literally ONE)  run like we knew they could be.

We realized that there wasn't really a program out there designed for people like us—low energy, neurodivergent, and looking for a new way to create.

There is a lot of pressure to do things a certain way in your business and have it all figured out. Especially when you first get started or make a change.

We designed Creative Differences to hold compassionate space for doing things a different way for brains that work a little differently.

Creative Differences has now evolved into a messy + creative framework and program for low energy entrepreneurs who desire to create a business.

We met in a business program back in spring of 2020 and by the end we had become friends. Kendall actually then invested in the only other group program Meg has ever held. So we continued having conversations about business, what to offer to the world, and how to help people.

As we began to get closer and eventually decided to work together, a lot of our conversations were focused around how EVERYONE is creative. Everyone practices creativity. And creativity is something that is a part of our daily lives.

We are both incredibly intuitive, spiritual, creative, and multi- passionate people. But that looks so different for both of us because of our processes, and our energy levels.

Creative Differences Pictures (1).png
  • Meg is a Human Design Generator and loves to create until her energy is gone. Kendall is a Projector and loves to watch TV, think deep thoughts, then nap.

  • Meg will find every niche TikTok dance and trend and apply it beautifully to her business. Kendall can’t dance and will just talk for 60 seconds to the camera and call it good.

  • Meg is an Enneagram 2 who will do anything for the people she loves and fight like hell when she sees injustice in the world. Kendall is an Enneagram 4 who will ask literally 1,000 questions to understand the nuance and why of something and will bring everyone else along with her on her inquisitive journey.

  • Meg comes from a background in nonprofit work, nannying, marketing, and politics. Kendall comes from a high school teaching career in which she taught social studies, science, and got her masters in Special Ed. She took a lot of Praxis tests.

  • Meg is autistic, chronically ill, and also deals with anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, and ADHD. Kendall has depression, anxiety, PTSD, and a brain that is very active and dynamic but struggles with executive function and sensory overwhelm.

  • Meg’s creative process is collaborating – she, like Leslie Knope, loves to work with others and create FOR others. Kendall’s creative process is exploring, more specifically *mental* exploration - she, like Ann Perkins, loves to listen, advise, and try new things with minimal commitment.

We really value cultivating a space where people who think like us feel welcome. That the people who come to work with us, want to work with us! We definitely aren’t for everyone, but we each bring a unique perspective and skillset to the table with Creative Differences.

Statement of Scope and Competency:

We both strive to hold space and offer strategy that is human-first, trauma-informed, and inclusive of an individual’s lived experience and social identities. Both have completed a trauma-informed space holding curriculum, are actively engaged in anti-racism study and work, and are both deconstructing capitalistic standards and values. We want to make it clear that we do not guarantee an automatic safe space for you – we recognize that you are the judge of what feels safe and expansive for you. Our intention is to allow you to access your internal safety as best you can in our current social climate through ample consent, choice, and clarity in our time together. We will remain in our scope of practice when engaging with you and our work, and will refer out to qualified individuals for more aligned support when necessary.

Tap into who you are so you can build a sustainable, creative business that works for you and the messiness that is being a low-energy human.
