The Low Energy Entrepreneur Community

A community for low energy entrepreneurs, creators, and creatives.

We share reminders every day that are meant to help you create a more compassionate, sustainable, creative, and anti-perfect approach to business and entrepreneurship.

This is also a resource hub for entrepreneurs to find support covering various topics.

What is the low energy entrepreneur community?

This community and resource center is run by two low-energy creatives - Meg (she/they) & Kendall (she/her).
We are biz besties and bestie besties on a shared mission to uplift fellow low-energy humans and business owners with compassionate support and strategy.
Our hope is that by us carrying out our own mission, we are able to help others sustain their unique, vibrant, and divergent ideas for the long haul and change the world instead of burning out from the insidious impact of hustle culture and perfectionism.

We’re made to believe that there’s a “right” and “wrong” way to do business… but what if the “right” ways aren’t actually right for you?

Things like batching content, traditional launch models, scaling your business in a short period of time, and going all-in on every social media platform may have worked for lots of business-owners, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re a good fit for everybody—especially for folks who identify as neurodivergent or spoonie, have a chronic illness, have a mental illness, have lower capacities, or like to work slower.
What do we mean when we say low energy?
The current working definition of “low-energy” human includes:⁣
✨someone experiencing challenges with their mental health⁣
✨someone with a chronic illness or disability ⁣
✨someone who is neurodivergent⁣
✨someone either temporarily or long term dealing with sickness
⁣✨a parent, caretaker, or guardian⁣
✨someone working a job, multiple jobs and/or running their own business
✨someone who is grieving ⁣
✨someone who is simply done with burnout, hustling, grinding, and capitalism ⁣⁣and identifies with the term

And of course, you could contain multiple of these as part of your lived experience.⁣⁣

The term “low-energy” is meant to help us be more aware of our true capacities—energetic, physical, emotional, mental, and more⁣⁣—so that we can treat our bodies and minds as gently as possible (while unfortunately still living in a society that is completely insensitive to the limited capacities people have).⁣⁣

If this resonates with you, please know that you are not alone, and if you’re looking for some community and support, we have options for you 💚
Creative Differences- low energy community.png
  • Meg is a Human Design Generator and loves to create until her energy is gone. Kendall is a Projector and loves to watch TV, think deep thoughts, then nap.

  • Meg will find every niche TikTok dance and trend and apply it beautifully to her business. Kendall can’t dance and will just talk for 60 seconds to the camera and call it good.

  • Meg is an Enneagram 2 who will do anything for the people she loves and fight like hell when she sees injustice in the world. Kendall is an Enneagram 4 who will ask literally 1,000 questions to understand the nuance and why of something and will bring everyone else along with her on her inquisitive journey.

  • Meg comes from a background in nonprofit work, nannying, marketing, and politics. Kendall comes from a high school teaching career in which she taught social studies, science, and got her masters in Special Ed. She took a lot of Praxis tests.

  • Meg is autistic, chronically ill, and also deals with anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, and ADHD. Kendall has depression, anxiety, PTSD, and a brain that is very active and dynamic but struggles with executive function and sensory overwhelm.

  • Meg’s creative process is collaborating – she, like Leslie Knope, loves to work with others and create FOR others. Kendall’s creative process is exploring, more specifically *mental* exploration - she, like Ann Perkins, loves to listen, advise, and try new things with minimal commitment.

We really value cultivating a space where people who think like us feel welcome. That the people who come to work with us, want to work with us! We definitely aren’t for everyone, but we each bring a unique perspective and skillset to the table with The Low Energy Entrepreneur Community and our group program run inside of the community, Creative Differences.

Statement of Scope and Competency:

We both strive to hold space and offer strategy that is human-first, trauma-informed, and inclusive of an individual’s lived experience and social identities. Both have completed a trauma-informed space holding curriculum, are actively engaged in anti-racism study and work, and are both deconstructing capitalistic standards and values. We want to make it clear that we do not guarantee an automatic safe space for you – we recognize that you are the judge of what feels safe and expansive for you. Our intention is to allow you to access your internal safety as best you can in our current social climate through ample consent, choice, and clarity in our time together. We will remain in our scope of practice when engaging with you and our work, and will refer out to qualified individuals for more aligned support when necessary.
